Races play a major role in The Forge. Just like most RPGs have classes, The Forge has races. Your race decides traits, abilities, bonuses and more. Each race has its own strengths and weaknesses. Some races are great at combat, while others shine outside of combat. In this guide, we’ll first explain how races work, then go through each race, and finally check out The Forge race tier list for 2026.
How Races Work in The Forge
The Forge has 16 races across seven rarity tiers:
- Common: Human
- Uncommon: Elf and Zombie
- Rare: Goblin, Undead and Orc
- Epic: Dwarf, Shadow and Vampire
- Legendary: Minotaur, Dragonborn, Golem and FelynxÂ
- Mythical: Angel and Demon
- Relic: Archangel
Common is the easiest to get, while Relic is the hardest. Each race has buffs, debuffs and abilities, usually called perks.
Getting a race depends on rerolling. More rolls give you a better chance of getting the race you want. Get accounts with high rerolls from Roblox The Forge Shop to get a head start.
The higher the rarity, the lower the chance to roll that race. Since Relic is the rarest, the chance to get a Relic race is just 0.1%. Higher rarity races are usually more powerful but harder to obtain.
All Races in The Forge Explained
Below, you will find every race in The Forge explained. Read each one carefully to see its buffs, debuffs and abilities and understand what tasks or roles it works best for.
Human (Common): Human is the basic starter race with a 25% chance to roll. When you pick Human, you get balanced stats with no debuffs. Humans have slightly increased luck and experience. It is the only common race and perfect for beginners.
Elf (Uncommon): As an Elf, you have increased luck, stamina and height. Elf is ideal if you want an agility- and mobility-based race early in the game. With a 14% chance to roll and no debuffs, Elf is popular among new players.
Zombie (Uncommon): If you like a race that offers sustainability, aim for Zombie. With a 13.75% chance to roll, Zombies gain health regeneration at the cost of maximum health. They can absorb incoming damage and convert it to health, making them sustainable from early to late game.
Goblin (Rare): You have a 10.4% chance to roll Goblin. This race allows you to play like an assassin. Goblins have increased movement and attack speed with daggers, perfect for stealth-style gameplay. They have decreased health and size but get discounts when buying items.
Undead (Rare): Undead is great if you like second chances. With a 9% chance to roll, they refill health automatically when dropping below a certain level and can also reflect incoming damage. They also have decreased health and don’t excel at any specific role.
Orc (Rare): Aim for Orc if you love melee combat. With an 8% chance to roll, Orcs have increased physical damage, size and health, with decreased stamina and movement speed. They excel at close-range combat and farming kills.
Dwarf (Epic): You have a 5% chance to roll Dwarf. They are the best at mining and forging. Dwarves have increased mining and forging, decreased height and movement speed and deal bonus damage to rocks. If you want a race for farming or crafting, aim for Dwarf.
Shadow (Epic): If you like high agility and evasive combat, Shadow is for you. With a 5% chance to roll, Shadows have bonus attack speed, movement speed, physical damage, stamina and increased dodge chance. The only debuff is decreased health. Shadow is popular for combat and its cool appearance.
Vampire (Epic): When you pick Vampire, you will see how strong it is for early-to-late-game survivability. With a 4% chance to roll, it has life steal and bonus damage with straight swords. Since these bonuses are percentage-based, Vampires perform well throughout the game.
Minotaur (Legendary): Looking for a tanky melee race? Aim for Minotaur. With a 1.75% chance to roll, Minotaurs have increased height, health, width and depth, with decreased stamina and movement speed. When below half HP, they gain increased speed and physical damage. Not the best race among the Legendary rarity and not particularly effective in a specific role.
Dragonborn (Legendary): You have a 1.25% chance to roll Dragonborn; this race has no debuffs. They have increased physical damage, max health and height, plus the ability to burn enemies. Dragonborn is an all-rounder for attack-focused gameplay.
Golem (Legendary): Golem is another tanky Legendary race. With a 1.25% chance to roll, they have increased attack speed with heavy weapons, increased health and size, and reduced incoming damage. The only debuff is a 10% reduction in movement speed, which is barely noticeable. Prefer Golem over Minotaur to fulfill the role of a tank.
Felynx (Legendary): With a 1.25% chance to roll, Felynx is good for fast-paced gameplay. They have increased stamina, movement speed and dash distance. Felynx can parry attacks and deal bonus damage with gauntlets. Even with a minimal debuff to dash cooldown, Felynx is ideal for mobility-focused combat.
Angel (Mythical): With just a 0.5% chance to roll, Angel is great for mobility and utility. The only minor debuff is a slightly longer dash cooldown. Angel gains increased dash distance, speed, jump boost, stamina, physical damage and luck, plus unlimited stamina when low on health.
Demon (Mythical): Also with a 0.5% chance, Demon is best for high AOE damage. Demons gain increased damage, speed, attack speed, fire damage, physical damage and DPS, making them perfect for combat-focused players.
Archangel (Relic): Archangel combines Angel’s and Demon’s passive abilities. With just a 0.1% chance to roll, you gain increased speed, attack speed, physical damage, DPS, luck boost, AOE damage and multiple special abilities. To roll Archangel, you have to be extremely lucky. It is by far the best race in the game and is suitable for all playstyles.
